We love hearing from past pupils. We are bursting with pride to hear that Courtney Riggs has achieved her half colours for academics at Highway College. She is also a Student Leader. Well done Courtney you are flying the Browns’ School flag high! 

The Browns’ School was once again well represented by Alumni.  Midmar 2020 was huge success and our past and present pupils excelled in the swim and enjoyed camping at the dam. 

Well done Caleb! You thoroughly deserve all the accolades you have received in the local press!

Many of our past pupils come back to participate in the Midmar Mile . It has become an integral part of our school calendar. We congratulate all of our alumni and welcome them back to the fold for training sessions ,  camping at the dam and of course the swim!

Matric 2018

We at The Browns’ School would like to congratulate our former learners Samantha Pienaar and Taylor Harley. They passed their matric exams. We wish them well for the future! 


This year Jackie returned to the school bringing gifts of play dough and photocopy paper for our learners. We wish to thank her for everything and wish to see her on many more trips home. The children loved playing with the play dough!



Jackie Kotze is an ex pupil of The Browns’ School. As a very dedicated and hardworking pupil, she developed an interest in everything to do with Egypt. So keen was her interest , that she an her mom moved to Egypt where they have totally integrated in to the life there. 


We are extremely proud of our Alumni Aaron Putz who is excelling at swimming. One of the highlights of his career so far was in Mexico in 2017 where he represented South Africa in the INAS (International Federation for Athletes with Intellectual Impairments ) Swimming Championships. He won 7 medals! His next goal is the Paralympics in 2020.  The Browns’ School will be amongst his greatest fans and supporters. We follow his career with eager anticipation.  


In this photograph Aaron has just won the gold medal in the 200 m backstroke at the INAS Swimming Championships. Well done Aaron! We salute you!
He won the Sports Personality of the Year Award. Aaron is autistic and his success is testimony to his motto ” I can and I will!” His life and achievements are an inspiration to all. 

Nicole Stephens did the East Coast Radio Big Walk in support of children with Autism.  Well done, Nicole for the personal achievement and for your support and consideration for others.

Susan Harmse, a former Browns’ pupil, has graduated with a law degree. Congratulations Susan! We are so proud of you.

We are extremely proud of our former learner Ian Robinson who completed his 9th Midmar Mile and is now the assistant coach for our team!

Many of our past and present learners tackled the Midmar Mile again this year. We thank our coach Mrs Visagie who dedicated her time and energy to train the 18 learners who participated………………………. and 11 parents joined the Browns’ family this year to complete another successful swim and camp.


We are very proud of one of our alumni. Courtney Riggs appeared in the Highway Mail for being Spars’ star of the month. Well done, Courtney!
